Reija Eden is a remarkable woman. To say I love her jewelry feels understated, it is more of an artform than something so simple as that. Jewelry can be found anywhere, from designer stores to back woods junk shops, what Reija Eden has created is collected pieces of moments, reflections on the ideal of a person – individually and significantly. Each gem is bound by hands that compressed these thoughts into links and gave them substance.
When first I came across this review I was clearly entranced by the designs and the beauty of her store, as you will if you take a moment to step inside of it. I had emailed my interest to Reija Eden and the first thing she asks me is what do I like? What fits me. I’m not used to that in reviews, you see, generally it is the idea that is given to me not myself giving forth an idea to someone else. I explained how I like simple things. Simple things are poignant like periods at the end of a sentence. That’s all that I said and in return I received something remarkable, a reflection. She had created something wholly original for me and witnessing it made me realize it wasn’t just a piece of jewelry, it was her idea of what I loved; it was perfect.
