If you are like me, a busy mom, running around everywhere and not heading to a date night on Valentine’s Day but still want to look beautiful, I put together some tips for you. It’s nice to dress up and look more put together even if your Valentine’s Day is more about spending time with the kids and family and giving the children Valentine’s Day gifts instead of a date night. All you need is minimal makeup and you are all set. I’ve been obsessed with makeup for over 20 years now and have learned some tricks on the way while running a makeup site (MakeupTalk.com). For days I want to look more put together but I’m pressed with time I use just a few products that are must haves for a quick, natural makeup look. I use a tinted moisturizer or a BB cream (Laura Mercier, Dior and Missha are my favorites), a cream blush or a multi-stick product, a wash of an eyeshadow (My favorites are Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier) and a coat or two of mascara. For lips I like to just use a dab of gloss or a YLBB (Your lips but better) lipstick color from MAC, Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier just to name a few.
Here is an outfit inspiration for a Valentine’s day if you are skipping it like me because of family obligations.
